The Cosplay Contest will be held during the Enchanted Knights: Medieval Magic, at Oviedo Mall on September 20th, 2025. The contest will be at 5 pm on the main stage.
There are 4 main categories for entry: Fantasy Fandoms, The Anachronisms, Coolest OC, and Young Heroes. Those 4 categories, along with Best in Show, make up all 5 prize categories. Full description of the categories can be found below.
All cosplay and costumes, regardless of how much is handcrafted, will be allowed to be entered in the contest. However, only cosplays that are at least 75% handmade and fantasy themed are eligible to win Best in Show.
You must pick the category you want to be considered in for your registration. All entries that are at least 75% handmade and fantasy themed are automatically eligible for Best in Show regardless of category picked. To be considered for Best in Show, check the appropriate box in the form below.
Young Heroes is only available for kids aged 13 and under. All Young Heroes must have a parent or guardian with them during the contest and to claim any prizes. If filling an application for a young hero, please put the child’s name at the top of the form. Email and phone number must be for the hero’s parent of guardian.
All cosplay and costumes must be appropriate for a show for all ages. There may be no nudity, no partial nudity, no offensive language or content, and must reasonably conform to Oviedo Mall’s dress code requirements.
ABSOLUTELY NO METAL WEAPONS ALLOWED! Any prop weapons that go with your submission must be made of cosplay materials other than metal. Any contestants who bring real weapons to the contest will be immediately disqualified, removed from the faire, and barred from all future contests.
Submissions for registration will close by 3pm the day of the contest.
Check-in for the contest will be in Wizards and Lizards starting at 11 am on the day of the contest. Final check will be at 4:15 pm by the stage.
Categories for Entry
Fantasy Fandoms
This category is for all entrants who will be cosplaying any fantasy related pop culture character. Show us your best Minsc and Boo, your Companions of the Hall, your Shelobed Frodo!
The Anachronisms
This category is for all entrants who will be cosplaying any non-fantasy pop culture character. Whether you belong to the Advance Team or the Court of Owls, this category is for you.
Young Heroes
This category is for entrants aged 13 or younger, with parent permission. Show us your favorite hero or character. Fandom and theme is totally up to the Young Hero.
Coolest OC
This category is for any entrants who have crafted a cosplay for an original character. We want to see your leader of the Thieves Guild, your Wizard of the Wandering Flame, or any other cool character concept you have created!
Best In Show
This is the grand prize category. All entrants in the other categories, who have handmade at least 75% of their cosplay and are fantasy themed, are eligible for this category automatically. To be considered, you must check the appropriate box below.
